 Description

Plants invariably stoloniferous. Lvs reddish green. Flowering stems (4)–15–35–(80) cm. long. Infl. of several 3–25-fld clusters, peduncles 1–6 cm. long; subtending bracts us. much < infl. Tepals ovate-lanceolate, acute, bright chestnut brown with broad, white, membr. margins. Capsule ± = tepals, dark red-brown, often almost black towards the tip. 2n = 12.
