Glabrous perennial with creeping rhizome and slender twining branches. Petioles slender, to c. 5 cm long. Lamina 2.5–8 × 1.5–4.5 cm, sagittate, narrowly to broadly triangular; apex acute to acuminate; basal lobes acute and sometimes toothed; basal sinus broad and rounded. Fls usually solitary; peduncles narrowly winged, usually 1–2.5 cm long. Bracts broad-ovate, obtuse, c. 1 cm long. Sepals broad-ovate, < bracts, obtuse. Corolla c. 15 × 12 mm, white, campanulate. Ovary imperfectly 2-locular. Capsule c. 6 mm diam., globose. Seeds black, reticulately ribbed.
