 Recognition
  • a perennial, mat-forming grass with rhizomes and long creeping, branched stolons.
  • its leaves green or glaucous, up to 9 cm long and glabrous or with scattered hairs.
  • its inflorescence up to 50 cm long, erect, with flowering heads up to 6 cm long, and spikelets in two rows.
