 Recognition
  • a robust, succulent subshrub with short and thick branched stems.
  • its opposite leaves are thick and fleshy, up to 11 cm long, green and with a dense covering of white bloom.
  • its inflorescence is purplish with white bloom, up to 50 cm long and with flowers clustered at the end.
  • its flowers (3-4 cm long) are tubular, pendulous, red or orange.
  • its fruit are 2-3 cm long and release numerous seeds 0.5-0.8 mm long.
