 Description

Caulescent, glabrous, probably annual herb with several slender, ± erect stems, to c. 8 cm tall. Petiole to c. 5 mm long. Lamina 10–20 × 3–7 mm, elliptic or elliptic-obovate, entire or slightly crenulate; base attenuate; apex obtuse. Fls solitary, axillary or terminal; peduncles to 9 cm long, filiform. Bracteoles 2–4 mm long, ± linear; margins with a few glandular teeth. Calyx lobes 1.5–2.3 mm long, somewhat accrescent, linear-lanceolate, slightly 2-lipped. Corolla 2–4 mm long; tube whitish, cylindric; limb < or = tube, slightly 2-lipped, not opening widely, pale to deep blue, spreading, elliptic; lobes of lower lip slightly longer and with scattered ± clavate hairs inside, especially near midvein. Stamens included; anthers dark blue. Stigma rounded, purplish. Capsules c. 2.5 mm long, obovoid. Seed 0.2–0.3 mm long, oblong-ellipsoid, shining.
