Stems stout and stiffly erect, to 1 m or more tall or suberect to decumbent, notably sympodially branched. leaves relatively small, of uniform size and clustered near the ends of otherwise leafless branches, usually ascendant and imbricate, with short internodes. leaf and stem hair dull white, rarely yellowish.
