 Description

Relatively robust, stiff-stemmed plants, up to 60 cm tall, reduced to 10–15 cm on exposed rock outcrops. Lamina 8–12×2–3 mm, densely hairy adaxially and abaxially, with long, fine, but hispid, dull to shining white to yellowish hairs, usually penicillate. Flowers sparsely hairy inside tube; ♀ tube 3.5 mm long, ovary portion 2 mm, calyx lobes 1.5×0.6 mm; tube 6.5 mm long, ovary portion 2.5 mm, calyx lobes 2.5×1.5 mm. Fruits ovoid, dry, brown, 4×2.3 mm. Seeds ovoid, 4×2.1 mm.
