 Description

Slender, tufted perennial herb, sometimes with stout woody stock; stems slender, much-branched; branches erect, 5–15 cm tall, slender to filiform, usually densely hairy with lax flattened white hairs. Lvs sessile, 4–10–(15) × 2–4–(7) mm, narrow-ovate to ovate-rhomboid with 1–2 pairs of narrow acute teeth and large triangular acute terminal lobes, glabrous or with sparse glandular or eglandular hairs. Fls on slender straight pedicels 5–20 mm long. Calyx 5–8 mm long, densely pilose with flattened white, simple hairs and long glandular hairs, divided ?-1/2 way. Corolla white, (10)–15–20 mm long. Anthers golden yellow; marginal hairs numerous; awns usually very unequal, stout. Capsule ± = or much < calyx, 3–7 × 2.5–4 mm.
