Chionochloa flavescens Zotov (1963) subsp. flavescens
 Description

Leaf-sheath to 20 cm, pale, incurved, internerves hairy below, glabrous above or appearing so. Leaf-blade to 80 cm × 10 mm, adaxially with abundant prickle-teeth or papillae. Culm to 70 cm, glabrous. Inflorescence to 15 cm, glabrous except for long hairs at branch axils and hairs below spikelet, rarely hairy elsewhere. Lemma to 5.5 mm; hairs dense on margins, fewer in internerves, < sinus. Anthers to 5 mm.
