Description
Similar to the type subspecies but differing in leaf lamina margin being more recurved, upper surface with a golden pellicle sometimes becoming leadcoloured when old, achenes 6-7 mm long and glabrous, pappus bristles 8 mm long, scapes with prominent almost foliaceous bracts up to 15 cm long.
