Description
Very robust dense wide-leaved tussocks to 1 m high. Inflorescence of 6–9 (or more) sturdy, ± approximate, ± sessile, chestnut-brown spikes to 10 × 1.5 cm. Glumes > utricles. Stigmas 3.
