  • a tree up to 12 m high, usually with an erect trunk, and spreading branches.
  • its leaves have up to 8 pairs of leaflets, are deep green, and with toothed margins.
  • its inflorescence is drooping, compact, and up to 12 cm across.
  • its petals are 3-4.5 mm across, rounded, white or sometimes flushed pink.
  • its fruit are 5-10 mm across, deep orange to scarlet, and glossy.
