  • a bushy subshrub up to 2 m high with green stems.
  • its leaves are clustered in whorls of up to 6 and are up to 12 cm long, green, and toothed on the margin.
  • its flowers (up to 6.5 cm across) are solitary in the leaf axils among the upper-most leaves.
  • the flower petals are pink and 2.5-3 cm long and notched at the tip.
