 Recognition
  • a shrub or small tree growing up to 5 m tall with the stems densely hairy.
  • its tiny narrow leaves (3-7 mm long) are arranged in groups of three or four along the stems.
  • its leaves have margins that are rolled downwards so that the leaf underside is not visible.
  • its small tubular flowers (2.5-4 mm long) have four fused petals and are white and are hairless on the outside.
  • its capsule is about 2 mm long and glabrous.
